In
the summer of 2001, Midtown kicked off our "Music in the Park"
series. Past performers have included The Garbonzos, Poco Loco, Radio
Flyer, Jim & Kim Lansford, Lyal Strickland, and The Gallier Brothers.
The concerts and refreshments are free of charge. Bring a lawn chair,
a picnic dinner and your friends and family. Music starts at 6pm.

Blue Plate Special June 27, 2010
The Mid-Town Neighborhood’s "Concerts in Washington Park" series begins June 27th with "Blue Plate Special". Blue Plate Special has been together for 10 years playing blues, classic rock, and original music, best known for “Dead Armadillo Blues.” They have played many venues in the area including Firefall, Winter Blast of Blues, C-Street Jam, and the Mid-Town Concert Series. Members are Vern Morgan, Cliff Jacobs, Pete Stevens, Lynn Barbour, Jimmy Sieber, and Carl Yendes. Their home base is now Lindberg’s on Historic C-Street. They have begun a “First Bluesday” series on the first Tuesday of each month at Lindberg’s at 6:00pm (a non smoking venue!).
Keep in mind our future concerts on July the 25th, “The Honky-Tonk Renovators” and Sunday Aug 22rd,”Glen McKenzie and the Road Kings” at 6pm in Washington Park (Summit & Locust St. in N. Spfd.) T he Mid-Town Neighborhood’s "Concerts in Washington Park" series Continues Sunday August 23rd with ”Glen McKenzie and the Road Kings” at 6pm in Washington Park (Summit & Locust St. in N. Spfd.) The most accurate description of Glen McKenzie and the Road Kings is Roots Rock and Roll all the way! Slashing guitars! Songs about life, love, cars, bars, motorcyles, girls, politics and guitars...what else is there? Modern stylings meet Rock, Classic Rock, Country and Blues. Concerts are free and open to all.
